My wife's '93 850 sounds like it has an exhaust small exhaust leak near the joint between the header and exhaust system. I had a station check the car out and they said "everything is fine!" The car has very little pick up with people in the car. I guess a tune up could not hurt... but is this typical for 850's to not have pep?

 

Not sure what engine/transmission you have but mine is just a 2.0 20V GLT Auto and I am impressed at how well the car pulls when fully laden and towing etc. I replaced the ignition system not long ago and noticed a slight improvement on the 'pick-up' and better economy. The T5R's are rocket ships!
