Smoke?????
Hi,
There's smoke coming out of my dipstick tube when I pull the stick out, just like when you remove the oil cap on the valve cover. Could this be a clogged pcv???? Because of this there's condensation occuring at the seal of the dipstick - which is contaminating my oil. Slight oil foaming in the tube which is evident on the stick. Is there suppose to be "smoke" like vapors coming out my dipstick tube??? Please advise.....
Thanxs

There will be a little bit of smoke.which is from the vent system.I can't explain exactly why it is there.I see it all the time. You should still check your vent box and make sure it isn't clogged.
Yes I mean the pcv box that is more of an american term for it.The Volvo don't have pcv valves the have flame trap sheilds. But yah thats what I mean.
Also it is located on the front of the engine under the intake manifold.Bye where the a/c compressor is.
