Default So I went through a carwash and my feet got wet..WTF???

I'm a little confused. I thought the water was supposed to stay on the outside of the car. As much as I appreciate the carpet washing this is not what i had in mind. I've noticed a damp smell after it rained but i could never figure out.
Any idea where this is coming from?

You might want to check the cowl drains right at the base of the windshield, maybe they're plugged up. If it didn't come by the door seal or leak through the sunroof then it's backing up at the firewall. Do you have a lot of movement in the dash? I guess for now you can discount the floor unless you know that's bad, you don't have to stop like fred flinstone do you?

On a different but somewhat related note...that might not happen if you hand wash!

You can see the drains with the hood open, no need to remove anything to access them. The cowl seal along the windshiel gets old and dry over time and can allow water underneath if water at high enough pressure comes in contact at the right angle.

And if the drain holes are not blocked (pour some water through them), then check the drain holes on the moon roof if your 850 has one. There are 4 drain holes at each corner of the moon roof assy.

Wish you luck,

I would say maybe a sunroof drain.
Open the sunroof and poor water in the front by the body and see if it drains to the ground or inside the car.
If the drains work properly the water will come out behind the front wheels.
