Default Speedometer Stopped working

Today I was working on my 96 850, and i changed cap an rotor , removed ABS module to send in for repair.When i backed out of garage and left my house speedo wasnt working anymore and its driving me nuts...... Im wondering if it has anything to do with the ABS module out. any imput would help thanks.

Yes if the ABS module is out then the speedo will not work.

thanks for getting back to me because that was driving me crazy. I didnt think i coulda screwed anything up.I wish they woulda told me it would stop working.

Yes the ABS computer takes the abs sensor speed and transmission speed and calculates it then sends it to the speedo.

Most if not all newer cars have this same setup. Gone are the days of the old speedometer cable, etc....
