RE: SRS light and code 222
I am unable to reset the code. This is what I have done so far:
1. check the code twice and both times it was 222.
2. Then I press the button and keep it pressed for 10 secs, after that when the red LED comes on I press the button again and keep it pressed for 10 secs.
3. Repeat step 2 again.
4. Check for code and it still shows 222, did I do something wrong?
I am hoping that if I can reset successfully then the SRS light may not come on again.

Yes, I have followed the instructions but still get the code 222. I know I am not doing something right. I repeat what I do: Put jumper in B5, press button and keep it pressed for 10 secs, release button, wait for LED to light up and while it is lit I press the button again and hold for 10 secs. I then check the code and still comes to 222.
The last thing I am going to try is to take off the battery connection and see if that will reset the code, will it? I think somewhere on the net I read someone tried this and it worked.

You can give it a shot. While you have them apart. After disconnecting the battery touch them both together or hold them together for a minute or 2 then connect and see what happens.I would leave it disconnected for about 10 to 15 min.If not let me know if it doesn't work and then we will try something else.

RE: SRS light and code 222
I believe the code 222 is for the passenger side air bag.Disconnect the battery again.Remove the glove box insert. There should be 6 or 8 torxes 25 screws and remove the arms from the glove box door.Insert a small screw driver into the slott and pull the arms out.Once you have done that look for the plug for the passenger air bad.Unplug the air bag.Using a small peice of wire or a small paper clip jump the 2 wires in the harness together.reconnect the battery and check for codes again if there is a code try to erase again if it clears this time the passenger air bag is bad.If not in may be the crash sensor.Try that and let me know.
