Trouble shooting SRS light on 1997 850 R and want to check connections to the module. Anyone know where it is located. Volvo dealer tried to clear code yesterday (for free) but it did not clear code. So i want to go and check all the connections before i pay the $117.00 fee to scan for fault. I would be pissed if it was a loose wire. Anyone have any other things for me to check?

Someone might have a better direction to take but all I can think of is to get the code(s) read so you have an idea of where to look for a problem. It could be a loose wire anywhere in the system to any of the air bags or sensors front or side.

The other thing to do would be to track down the company in England that sells an SRS scanner and you can do it yourself for less and have the tool too !

I got a module off Ebay for $32.00 bucks and the stealer wants $117.00 to read the code so it the way to go for now. If i change module and light stays on than the tool or dealer will be last resort. i have a service book for my 95 850 Turbo but wanted to see if the 97 850R had changed much. Thanks
