Steam from air vent
While fillin g up with gas the other day i noticed what looked like smoke coming from the left hand side air vent, i subsequentley realised it was steam and that the windows were steaming up. would i be right in thinking that the heater matrix has developed a leak? or could it be something more simple?
also advice on repairing the fault would be much appreciated!

I will agree with Maxbaby and would suggest that you check out this:

I am going to have to do this sometime this summer as I know that mine is leaking, can smeel coolant very lightly, and don't wanta hole blowing through. The mess would be a real big pain in the [:@]SS.
Heater cores are expensive from the dealer but after market cores seem more reasonably priced and the removal/replacement procedure does not appear to torequire a Phd in Automotive Engineering.
Most shops will tell you that it will be a ten hour + labour charge as the whole dash will need to come out but by the look of the how to, and taking your time, I would guess three hours and a couple of scratched knuckles .
