My steering wheel recently loosened up a bit, and i can move it up and down slightly and a tiny bit side to side when locked. i took the airbag and the steering column surrounding off to try and tighten the adjustment handle, but nothing came of it

Has anyone encountered this before? any suggestions? Im going back in tommorow and try to tighten everything down and see if it fixes it

 

Is your problem with the steering wheel or the entire colum?

 

The entire column was moving. I took the cover underneath off today and immediately there was this plastic ring loosely hanging around the lower end of the steering column. I slid it up, popped it up back into place and greased it a bit, no more wiggle
