'05 S60 bought used last year. I am trying to fix some minor annoyances and one that really bothers me is the center console armrest that flips open with cup holder and storage doesn't close latch firmly and makes noise. I THINK the issue is there are missing rubber pads/grommets on the underside of the top that give some resistance when the top is latched down.

Am I correct and if so does anyone know that part number for the missing rubber pads?

If not, does anyone else have this problem and how did you solve it.

Mine already broke. It's fragile. I completely pulled that cover. Replacing the whole unit is a hassle.

 

Found a trick. Just put a small self-stick rubber tab on each side of the center armrest storage box and it closes tighter and no jiggle. Nice to get rid of the rattle. Noticed the glove box is loose on one side too...added the same pads and it closes tighter, not a perfect fix but these rattles annoy me!
