My 1994 Volvo 850 Turbo stereos works, but I get that scratchy sound when I adjust the volume. I can get it to become full surround sound by wiggling the volume ****, after a few pops and scratchy sounds before the volume comes in clean. Any body know how to fix or put a bandaid on it? I was thinking about pulling the **** off and spraying some electrical spray as a solution ? Any suggestion would be swell. Thanks.

 

Your on the right track. The volume pot has become dirty and can be cleaned using tuner cleaner.

 

Any places where I can pick up a can of this? Stero shop? Stores? Etc. thank you sir!

 

After doing a search, looks like Caig Deoxit, or CRC contact cleaner/ RadioShack to buy. Would I just pull the volume **** off then spray cleaner in and q-tip components etc? Thanks.
