Hi Folks! I have a 1996 Volvo 850 Turbo Wagon I just bought a week ago. I hear a strange noise almost like a dull whistling comming from the front left side of the car. I notice it more when I drive 5-30 MPH. Strangly, this noise stops when I come to a stop!!! Hmmm..... This noise is also constant, meaning it does not get louder or quieter when reving the engine or speeding up or slowing down. Has anyone had this problem before, or does someone know someone who has had this problem or fixed it? Thank You!

 

It sounds kind of wierd how you explain it.
Try to listen more closely and see if you can hear more from it.
Does it sound like a motor whistle.
Like a brake noise.
Like and air whistle noise like and air leak from the motor.
