Default Subframe Bushings

I decided to drop the subframe and replace my bushings while im in this far. I tried a few different things and could not manage to press the bushings out. I tries it ww/ a couple c clamps and also a table vice, but couldn't make it budge at all... the rubber would flex but the main body of the bushing didn't budge. I ran the vice down all the way till it bottomed out...

How in the heck do you get these out? i'm considering a hacksaw as my next option.

I have never done them but I hear they are a pain. You might want to take the saw method.

I've got the subframe in the back of the other car, gonna take it into work tomorrow and see if i can make something work w/ this little press we have there...if not i may try taking it to the dealer or a shop to have them swap 'em out...Hopefully they won't charge a ton for that...can't be too hard w/ the subframe already out.

Sorry if this is off-topic. I can't help you re: the subframe, but at least in the photo, your wagon appears to be a sparkling beauty.

I would try some small cutting device like a Skill or a Dremel.

Had to cut the bushing out of the top torque mount on another car once.

Fun time!

I'm hoping mine aren't destroyed when I do the shocks, shock mounts, and clips next month.
