Default TCP has now released new parts!

TCP Productions will be releasing new parts this Friday.

The most exciting one (for us anyways) is a replacement throttle plate without the air wedge on it. For those of you who don’t know the stock 850 throttle plate has a wedge on it; this wedge blocks airflow, and makes for a slower start from idle. With our new designed throttle plate you will now get greater throttle response, better take off, and a slight increase in acceleration. Install time is less than 30 min, and all you need is your basic tools. GREAT modification for any Volvo 850.

The other great advancement we will be releasing is a windshield wiper repair kit. Who has issues with their driver side windshield wiper not whipping all the way? Well now TCP Productions has the fix for you. What our kit does is rotates the wiper assembly tighter into the windshield adding the extra force needed to complete a full wipe. Don’t spend the money on a Volvo replacement wiper arm when it usually doesn’t fix the issue, install our kit and make things right. Install time is roughly 15-30 min; kit includes multiple positions of added force.

Please feel free to ask any questions or send us a PM.

We currently have 4 or 5 different variations of the heat shield. working on the best fitment, installation, and universalized (non-turbo and turbo). Soon to come, along with some other parts.

I thought the Throttle Plate mod only applied to the N/A 850?

So are you guys selling the Volvo 960 throttle plate or did you manufacture your own?

We have manufactured our own. The plate we will be selling is 65mm (which is the non-turbo throttle body).

He made his own. You cannot simply remove the plastic piece in the turbo TB because that will leave two little holes, allowing for air to pass and screwing up your idle.

Will the plate still fit inside the turbo TB?

i am runing it on my two 850's currently. i like the results, and the interchangability of the shims. being that they are different thickness's on one car i had to use the large shim and the small shim. but the other 850 i used the large shim and the medium shim.

great kit.

I don't have a problem with the getting a complete arch of motion. But I can't get the blade to stay on the glass all the way; it comes off the glass in the last third of the arc. I have been unable to bend it to get it to stay down.

I am getting the same thing... it not staying all the way on the glass. I would stop bending anything... these things aren't bending... it's the rubber bushing at the base is cracked and weak and not holding the force at the top of the arc... it's a $6 rubber nub at the dealer.

Or... you could use a tightening, or a shim... I would think... but I've got the nub on order from my dealer... should know in a couple days.

I don't think the Turbo Model has a WEDGE on the Throttle Plate,,only on NA's...also, I fixed my Throttle plate by just taking off the wedge and pluged up the holes J B Weld and snaded it down..works just fine for only less then 5.00....
