hello again, I have cleaned the ABS sensors and replaced the ABS module but the light is still on 40% of the time. Same intermittent off/on pattern for the last 2 years, although I think the ABS may actually work. Anyway, since I'm obsessed with conquering dashboard lights I'm thinking the only thing left is the relay, but nobody seems to know where it is on a 1996 850 turbo wagon. Does the 96 employ a relay? It's not listed with the other relays or on any wiring diagram I have found. Thanks, Arlo

 

Symptoms would point toward the ABS module; you said it was replaced; with a new part? Have you pulled any ABS codes?

 

There is no relay.

One thing that often happens is that the connector to the module doesn't get fully seated back on and the connector makes only intermittent contact. It is important that the loops on the back of the connector are fully engaged with the pins before the connector top is snapped back down.
