Only if you consider a US-market automatic car a "jackpot", irrespective of the color. Meanwhile, I'll keep looking for a Canadian or European 850R with the proper sort of gearbox.

I would say green is the most unique

My mechanic only charged me like 235 bucks for changing the timing belt. He did both cars for me recently. He replaced the tensioners as well.

Jim that $604 out the door is awesome for a dealer price. I'm stunned. Most dealers across the country charge $125+. The one here and at my last location are $140+ and they actually discourage people from bringing older cars in.

As for the cost of an R, it really depends on the owner and condition. I seen a R sitting in front of a luxury home on a golf course a few months ago that I paid $280 for. It was on its way to the salvage yard. The "son" had it off road and tore a hole in the oil pan, when the oil light came on he tried to make it 12 miles home. NOT! Any way, got a motor ($175), finder ($35), hood ($59), and a few odds & ends. My guess is that it cost $1,250 to get it back together so for about $1,600 the car is in good shape and back on the road. Sold it to a guy that had a '95 base that feels like it was an incredible Christmas present. (I made a thread "I saved a R").

I have seen them sell for as much as $5,500 in the past year. I'm just amazed as how nice the cars are and how well they drive. They are easy to repair and you can get parts real easy. I'd buy a 850 before a '06 Honda or Toyota all day long. And I will always do my best to save a R anytime I see one about to be salvaged if at all possible. I think it's worth saving any turbo model as well.

Since the majority of "us" are in the US market and an auto is all that's available , , , why yes jackpot is what I'd call it.

And you could always find a nice automatic and make it a manual if you have the skills and or the money :p

I have seen a few Canadian cars with manuals sold here. Also there has been a few converted cars sold as well.
