Default Throttle Cable... broken?

When I first bought my 850 about two years ago, it accelerated normally under all levels of throttle, flooring it would result in smooth shifts etc.

One day, it suddenly started sticking at shifting gears when under heavy throttle. This problem started soon after the PNP switch on the transmission was replaced. However I did notice after the problem started, that the car's throttle cable seemed to be broken where it connects to the throttle body. Not the actual metal cable, but the plastic part around it at the bottom.

I'm not sure if it is actually causing a problem, or if its the cause of the hard, or sticking shifts, or if its effecting my mpg, etc. But I'd really to find out if I need to replace it soon.

I've attached a few pictures of the "broken" part its self, and also am attaching a youtube video of it so that you might be able to see if it is acting normally.

Thank you in advance for any advice you can give, or if you need more information, I can provide it.
