I know very little about working on cars, but being a smart guy I tend to learn very easily. What tools am I going to need? I'm in love with my 850 and I plan on keeping her for quite a while, so I really want to do my own work. Where should I start? What do I need to do a basic tune-up, like plugs and timing belt and all that? I'm pretty confident I can do this stuff myself.

Buy your self a general metric socket set. Also A set of Torxes sockets. Decent set of wrenches and screwdrivers and that should get you started.

Also for parts this site should help you out.

Hamilton which is about 10 min from philly. i grew up 5 min from six flags in jackson and in my early 20's i lived in seaside heights, and if youve ever seen any of the crap on mtv from spring break or any of the shows about the jersey shore, that was my town. i was on the boardwalk fri night and we saw them filming some stupid show called 5 guidos. what i want to know is, what the hell is so interesting about 2 italian guys buying cheesesteaks on the boardwalk?

LOL I hear you on that.

I lived in Ringwood the first half of my life. Then lived in Franklin lakes for a few years then Wanaque. After that lived in Sussex county for Many years before moving here to Orlando.

Right now my Brother lived in chatham and owns a bus company there.

Cool on the trip.

You will mainly need the male ones.
You will mainly need 15,25,and 30 but if you can find a cheap set with all of them it will not hurt.
