Folks, I am looking for a used trailer light module for a 93 850. I got prices from dealer and auto parts store and was shocked at price (>$80). I picked up a used hitch and now need module to run trailer lights. If someone has a working used unit to sell me, I would be appreciative.

I have seen them alot cheaper than that.

Definately cheaper that what I was quoted. From what I was told by a trailer supply business is that there are two types of modules. One type of module provides power and signal for the trailer lights. The cheaper version just provides signals for lights and that separate power wires would need to be run from battery to trunk. They stated that for a 93 that the module with power was only recommended. Don't understand exactly why they state this, unless there is something special about wiring on a 93. I am opt to try the cheaper approach and run pwer wires to trunk. Tech, do you know of anyone who has used the type of modules that provided links for on a 93 850?

I haven't heard of anyone as of yet.

If you don't need a Big power wire just tap in to the Dome light in the trunk that should do fine.

But get a module first and see if it needs a 12V source.

The ones I have used in the past never needed power.
