I spoke wit h ACN racing and they said that it wasnot agood idea to flush the tranny, as it wears out the syncros. The "flush" or cleaner wears down parts of the gears inside> is there any truth to this? they said volvo dosent recomend doing it and neither do they.

Flushing is a technique where you would "T" into the ATF lines between the transmission and the ATF cooler. New ATF is pushed into the ATF lines at one end and the old ATF is flushed out at the other end.
This is better than draining because all of the old ATF is removed from the system. I didn't know that some people use cleanser to do this. I have heard of people using cleanser while flushing the cooling system, not while flushing automatic transmission.
