Default Tranny problems

I have two problems, which I think might be related. Sometimes, when rolling along and lifting off from the throttle (usually happens at below 50 mph), the engine seems to be staying "in gear" instead of shifting to neutral. Also, when idling, the engine sometimes seems to miss, going from 800 rpm to 1100 rpm and back. Revving the motor usually fixes this.

Anyone has a clue?

Thanks a lot.

If you are hopping RPMs, it sounds like your tranny is slipping.

That is bad....Means your tranny may be going out soon...

The trans doesn't go into Neutral when coasting.
The torque converter might be staying lock for a little longer than it should.

For the idle problem try cleaning the throttle body.
