Question Trans wont downshift in sports mode

Hi guys my car started to develop this odd issue a couple days ago, the car bogs instead of downshifting in Sports mode at 30mph, so im guessing from 3rd to 2nd? Usually around that speed and on Sports mode the car would downshift and pull really hard but now it bogs down (even in WOT ) and after 3 seconds it grabs 3rd again and continues like nothing happened also when I brake really hard the engine sputters for 2 seconds then smooths out... very odd... but other than that the car drives and shifts normaly on normal driving. I replaced the PNP switch with a new one straight from the dealership 5 months ago. Also, I only use sports mode when I need the power to accelerate, I usually leave it on economy mode on normal driving.

When was the last time you did a fluid change?

This is just sittin' on my butt guessing.

Car works normally in Econ mode. Up shifts and downshifts as it should. Car malfunctions in Sport mode only.

Not a hard transmission problem, likely something in the transmission computer control unit.

Again I'm just guessing but it would make sense. If no other suggestions come in you might want to try a different trans ECM.

Fresh fluid is always a good thing and if it was acting up in both modes I'd surely recommend it but in your case I don't think fresh fluid is a good idea to cure the problem you are having. That said, once you do fix it changing out the fluid should be number two on your list.

Slim chance it's a fluid pressure issue. I would do fluid first then the technical stuff after fresh fluid.

Today I noticed that it only bogs when I floor it to the ground to that clicking feeling on the pedal but it downshifts like it suppose to even in sports mode, I might try changing the transmission's computer and change the fluid. Does the computer have to be from the same year?
