when i was driving home everything was fine then all of a suddon the wintermode light started to flash. I looked down and the econ or sport mode light was flashing too. When the arrow was off the sport mode light was on and vice versa. When i use the winter mode button and the econ and sport mode buttons then all work fine it is just the lights is this bad or something and how do i fix this?????

 

Here is what the owner's manual says on page 1:5 about a flashing arrow--
Mode "W" engaged
The lamp will light up when the Winter starting mode is engaged or if gears "3" or "L" are selected. If the warning lamp begins to flash, this means that there is a fault in the automatic gearbox. Contact your Volvo retailer.

I don't know if it applies to you or not (I hope not).

 

what codes is your car kicking back, if any.

 

Pull the transmission codes and see what they are.

 

I tried to pull transmission coded on my 94 850 non turbo but the LED stays solid ON with jumper in A1. Can anyone help please?

 

It should work unless there is a computer problem.
