Default transmission/ axle question

So i just replaced my drivers side axle because the boot was torn, but the axle was about 6 months old, so it was really hard to get out ( i asssume the fresh snap ring ) Anyway, i think i might have damaged the seal while doing so, because im getting some dripping from that axle side. Are these seals replaceable ? Also, i took a test drive after, and my "transmission shift up arrow" for lack of a better term, started blinking slowly. I double checked the fluid, and i might actually have too much ( just a tick above the line on the hot side) -

Any thoughts as to why the blinking started? tranny was shifting and acting normal.

thanks

More then likely, the seal got messed up when you did the axle change. That said, the good new is that the seal is replaceable. You will have to remove the axle to get it out. You can get the seal from us for a few bucks.

Yeah- i figured all will be well once i get back in there with a new seal. The tranny arrow flashing was more my concern at this point. Its the kind of thing that makes you go.... uh...oh... what now!? But i pulled both ECUs for a half hour and then reinstalled and the flashing has not come back.

Anyone know what the possible cause might be?

Thanks!
