So I have about 190k on my T5 and was about to do a transmission flush when the guy at the shop warned me that when you flush high mileage cars sometimes it creates more problems? Any suggestions besides a transmission shop? I was planning on doing it myself just drain the fluid and r&r the filter and gasket but I called to get a price on a flush and he kinda made me worry. Any thoughts?

 

They don't have a filter. They don't have a gasket that needs to be messed with while servicing. If you don't change the fluid, the tranny will die sooner or later (sooner at this mileage).
