Where would the best place be to get a the filter and gasket kit for doing a tranny flush? also what is the best fluid to use, preferably a synthetic that works in our trannies.

 

I have never even heard of a gasket kit and filter for the transmission.

We have a drain plug to drain and refill the transmission. When you drain you only get about 1/3 of the fluid out. When I do mine I drain and fill about three times until the fluid coming out looks almost like what is going in.

Some people do a flush by taking the transmission lines off the radiator and literally flush out the system. I have never done mine that way though.
