Tube of Pink sealant stuff that comes with head gasket set from FCP

what is the Tube of Pink sealant stuff that comes with head gasket set from FCP? i got a set for my 960 and one for my 850 for the future, but is the tube of pink stuff the cam cover sealant?

Yes, that is what it is. Some people have not had good luck with it sealing. I used volvo sealant from the dealer and threw FCP's out.

^ Same here. I originally used the sealant from FCP, and it didn't seal at all. I would go OEM. I know OEM is pink, so maybe that's the right stuff, just make sure it says Volvo on it. And the you also need that stuff for the oil pan. The cam cover isn't the only place on the block that requires a chemical gasket.
