How do I go about changing the turbo housing? I found one that I can pick up, but is this something that I have to rip apart the whole turbo? I have never done anything with turbos before so this is completely new to me. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

you will have to take the turbo out of the car. but other than than, just by looking at it you will get a good idea of how to take it apart, its easy.

 

Ok, neat. I found a housing from a guy in Illinois, pretty convenient. How is taking the turbo out??

 

let the car sit over night
take off heat shield
take off down pipe
take off anything connected to the turbo (besides the oil lines)
remove from engine
pull out from the top
remove any lines still attached (watch out for dripping oil)

install:
reverse steps

 

That actually sounds pretty painless. Kinda sucks I have to wait now with the exhaust.
