a/c blowing super hot air and won't turn off
1995 Turbo Wagon.
Ok so I finally found a guy to barter services with and got my windows tinted (super good job) and on the way home my a/c started blowing wide open heat. LIke never felt heat like this from the inside before hot! The switches would not turn off. I pulled over and unhooked the battery cables hoping this might be a temp fix to stop the raging inferno til the kids and i got home but it didn't work. When, we arrived home I turned the car off and then back on and the air didn't blow at all. LOL too scared to turn the heat on and see if that worked. But all was well just this morning with it. But i have noticed the a/c and rec lights were blinking right after cranking after I had it serviced. Had is serviced at the beginning of spring at the dealer and they didn't tell me anything was wrong. ANY ideas or suggestions would be appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!

blinking lights mean you have a fault code.
The ECC control unit is connected to diagnostic unit B position 1. If a fault occurs which is detected by test mode 1, a fault signal is issued which involves the ”rec” and ”ac off” indicator lights flashing for about 20 seconds.
A fault warning is given immediately if a fault is discovered during setting, and also each time the ignition is switched on or the engine started. If a fault code is stored because of a temporary fault which then clears, no fault signal is given when the ignition is switched on or the engine starts.
Test mode 1 is used to read off stored DTCs for faults detected by the control unit diagnostic system.
-Ignition on.
-Press button, and keep it pressed for about 1 second.
-Read off LED flashes.
If LED does not light up when pressing button, perform fault tracing for communication with the control module.
If display reads 1–1–1, no DTCs are stored.
If display shows a code other than 1–1–1:
-Display DTCs.
-Press button as above again to see if there is more than one DTC.
-Display all DTCs.
When the first DTC reappears, this means all DTCs have been displayed.
The delete the DTCs.
Perform fault tracing for the DTCs read off.

Thanks, for all the help!!! It gave me the code for a faulty drivers side sensor. So, I took a little jaunt in the local junk yard and got a whole new instrument panel deally for $25. Just plug in play and thankfully enough it fixed the problem. Although, it did take me two days to figure out the codes and stuff. But hey I am a just a girl lol.
