Is this possible, i did a searched but didnt see anything about this. Car is at dealer tonight, but he was guessing its the turbo gone bad. It would take me a bit to come up with money for rebuild of turbo. Is there anyway to just convert to a non turbo engine?

Turbo rebuild should be no more than $300. I'd save your nickels and dimes and do that. There are a bunch of differences between the NA and Turbo motors, one of which is the PCV systems used. - AB

 

Fix the turbo or pick up a new/rebuild/used one.

Matt, the thing about a turbo, as these guys have listed, is that the turbo touches every bit of the engine compartment, which makes conversion from turbo to non or visa versa pretty challenging. i should know because i looked into converting my old 850 non-turbo into a turbo. i'd suggest you buy a rebuilt turbo, best bet.
