Default valve/mechanism under battery

Mr. Tech How are you, along with everyone else. I was wondering what the valve/mechanism below the battery tray is? I have a picture below. Also, there is one part of it that does not have a hose connected to it. Is this normal, or should they all be connected to hoses (See photo)?

Default RE: valve/mechanism under battery

That setup is normal. That is your cruise control vaccum pump. The one the hose is connected to is the vaccum port. The other is the pressure releif valve. You are good the way you are!!!
