Default vibration/stuttering when shutting off car

hey guys this one is becoming more apparent when today...i thought i kept screwing up and pulling e-brake first before putting into park and thats why it vibrated (never had that happen to me before) but now even if I don't put on ebrake or shift into park first before pulling ebrake the car rumbles...I don't know why?

Anyone got ideas? The haynes troubleshooting got nothing so far...

check your upper motor mount (the one right on the top). if that is loose that could cause it.

i know one of my wagons does it, but its not horrible, so i just dont care.

hmmmm, thats odd. i know mine is basicly just like when you turn off the car there is a little rummble when it comes down in RPM's to 0 rpm.

on the upper mount wiggle and move around that black support member. you should beable to tell that way. if not rev the motor a little and see if there is movment in it. (rock front to back movment)

Its not the matter of just reving it, you have jerk it push and leave and then see the movent of the engine. It will do that while catching the RPMs or going down the RPMs.
Try asking someone to turn the engine off while you are watching the engine running under he hood and see if you can find the source of noise/rumble.

It could also be a loose/rusted metal cover on the cat convertor just creating that rumble. Get under the car and do a good visual inspection of the exhaust.

a user on the matthewvolvosite who writes up alot of the DIY repairs...I do have the ABS light coming on but I don't have the TRACS light or the other symptoms that other users have. Or the light could have burnt out...but i dun think so?

http://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/for...p=89134#p89134

He also said that it would kill my speedometer

Do you see the tracs light when you turn the ignition to ON briefly? - Just to check the bulb.
If the bulb is OK then is it intermittent problem or the ABS light is ON permanently?
You ABS module might be getting to a point of repair.

My 2 cents on bad ABS unit. Again, its not a hard job to repair it yourself if you know basics of soldering. I can to do the job for anyone who can bring the module to me or can take care of shipping, packaging and handling.

thanks for your offer but i need the car everyday...i think i should be able to do it myself i am just worried about making mistakes taking it apart...and is there any specific type of solder i am suppose to use? I was told you need a strong one because the pins are quite resilient?

Also the car did it again...the battery was the only light on...also I don't think I have tracs. When i turned on the car(not ignited) only 3/5 of the lights lit up so I am not sure is it burnt out. The ABS light is on more often now so I suppose the ABS is really out? Is there a way for me to test the ABS?
