The only turbo stick you will find is one that someone converted. They were never brought to the U.S. in a stick.

Hey tech im just curious about something. My 94 T5 is manual and im wondering if it was converted (most probably was). Maybe u can help me, the VIN digit for "transmission" is a 7...all the VIN decoders say only 2,3 or 6...what does the 7 mean?
Also it says the factory is in #2, Belgium...this doesnt mean its a car from belgium does it? I know its not a US car cuz the speedo is in km/h and i live in Canada, so it might just be a Canadian car...im just confused and curious lol :P

Any ideas?

P.S. Sorry for hijacking the thread sven13, I have a manual 850, but shes not for sale

thats how you know your car was made here. all the sites are based in the states where these code were never made.. i also have a manual turbo, i live with you in MTL.
my tranny code is "0" so who knows?
I wouldent be half surprised if it DID come with a manual trans.

Wow, I didnt know the "No Stick Turbo's" rule was only for literally US cars, i figured it meant North American cars lol...nice to know I might have a factory stick turbo

Sven13, maybe you can have one imported from Canada...look into it, might be hard to pass inspection tho, not too sure.

ya you could probably sell your car for a pretty penny to the states.. too bad their very picky about the shape of cars, they wont like that every square centimeter of our cars has either oil or rust on the underneath.

to the OP, i sent you a PM of a car that you might be interested in, its literally a twin of my car. Hell, if i had the money, id buy it.

You won't be able to get that much extra just because it's a turbo and has a stick. Manual swaps are too easy on these cars to jack up prices on them because they're factory stick. Especially when you get a complete manual swap for 600 bucks. My car will be manual come summer.

Not for much longer. Then it will be a legit 5 speed. But just because you have a factory manual, doesn't mean it's worth anything extra or that it's special because the manual swaps are so readily available and can be done in one day.
