I've got a 1998 Volvo S70 and unfortunately, my audio system just isn't what it used to be. A few of the speakers have died and I went looking ofr more. The dealer wants something like over 500 to replace them and install them and thats just insane. I found some good used ones but they came out of a C70. Then I found some other used ones that came out of a V70. Then I found some that came out of an 850. It seems like I just can't find any that come directly out of an S70 but I wondered if the speakers between these models are interchangable. Does anybody know for sure if thats true or false? Thanks

I don't think they are, but I'm not sure. Some of them are probably interchangable but not all. The V70 difinitely has different ones way back in the rear. They are not too good either. The door ones are probably the same from V70 to S70 along with the ones in the dash. I think the C70 has a complelely different system.

 

which ones do you need? I may be replacing the stock speakers with aftermarket ones.

 

you should find some dynaudios from a c70 including the center!

 

i am having the same problem with my 96 850 GLT. i went to the junk yard to find some speakers and the speakers are different on every model.
so if u need s70 speakers find a s70 to get them out of.
on the other hand you could just buy them from the dealer. i know it's expensive but your getting brand new speakers instead of used ones and to save money install them your self. i know on my 850 all i need is a torx set and a flat head driver to remove and in stall the speakers. good luck

 

Somewhat related - are the rear four speakers in the S70 also 8oHms like in the 850?
