Default Volvo 850 - cheaply running well?

Ok, so I just wanted to share my experience with my "new" Volvo 850. Just a way for me to account the costs of getting it running in the past few weeks.

1995 Volvo 850 NA - $500 (had scrape along the driver side, no major damage, runs fine)

Parts:
MAF Sensor - $76.99 (aftermarket, fleabay inc. shipping)

NGK Iridium Plugs (5) -$37.05 (pepboys)

PCV system - $139.50 (FCPGroton) -- FCP had a 10% off code ("Junebug")
Odometer gear -$22.45 (FCPGroton)
EGR gasket - $3.40 (FCPGroton)
Throttle Body gasket - $0.90 (FCPGroton)
Free shipping; subtotal = $166.22

Lower radiator hose + hose clamps - $37.61
Spare radiator coolant: $0

Chevron Techron - $8.29
Castrol GTX 10W-30, 5.28 Qt - $18.99 (plus the extra I had spare at home)
Sylvania Halogen Bulb (Headlight) - $10.99
Fuel Filter - $29.99
Bosch Oil Filter - $6.49
STP Air Filter - $16.59
Haynes Manual - 21.99
Subtotal + Tax - oil/filter combo discount = $113.25

Labor:
Replaced MAF sensor, replaced PCV system, replaced lower radiator hose, cleaned electrical contacts to various sensors, cleaned throttle body, EGR valve, and idle control valve, replaced spark plugs, changed oil and oil filter, changed fuel filter, changed air filter, disabled the airbox thermostat (it was broken, more info on that problem here).

Total cost of car and repairs (some were maintenance or preventative, but included anyway):

$500 (car) + 431.12 (parts) = $931.12 for a 1995 Volvo 850 NA with 138K that runs great!

Next up, I'm gonna try to flush the transmission, recharge the AC, fix the odometer, and fix the door handle, but other than that all is well on the car.

I'd also like to add, that partly due to the great safety of this car, I managed to get a 12 month insurance (state minimum currently, but upgrading it isn't too much more so I'm likely to do that soon) for this vehicle for $211 a year.

I'm a 21 year old male driver, so that is a pretty good deal for me.
