For the heat and a/c control lights you will need to pull our your ecc and take off the top cover of it (5 min job).
for the shifter is it one light only. you will need to remove the center counsel and you can then replace it really easily from the side. let us know if you need directions/help on the center counsel removal.
what dash lights? the ones on the switches? or the ones on the guages? do they all go out intermittently? or are some bulbs just fully out.

if its switches and gauges it might be your dimmer switch, they are known to go bad.
To remove the center counsel:
1) in the center counsel box remove the plastic plate to access two screws and remove them.
2) remove coin holder/cig lighter, the screws are on the screw into the center counsel (pointing toward the heated seat switch). i usually remove the ash tray also just to give me a little bit extra working room.
3) remove the two screws under the coin try holding the counsel in.
4) left center counsel back, up and out. the window switch wires unplug from the dash.
