i was driving home from work late at night and well no interior lights.. so when i got home checked the fuse 15 vt went out.. so i changed it with a new fuse and nothing...... still no interior lights..... no cluster lights and no a/c heat etc lights....

any guesses?

 

Check and play with the dash light dimmer switch and see if they flash or come back on.
From time to time the dimmer switches go bad.

 

Also, did you check to see if you blew out the replacemet fuse? Could be a short

 

played with the dimmer back and forth, still nothing and even checked the replacement fuse. i could tell it was getting power due to the light electical nice i was hearing when i inserted the fuse in..... gotta be the dimmer then

 

Most likely that is what it is.

 

brought the car to volvo after i tinkered with it for a while and grew impatient...

they said i need another control panel.. used or new, basically one that works.... any year specific... 1996 and up since i have abs correct????? and of course junk yards if im lucky/ or maybe auto zone since they sell used parts now.... hmmmmmm

also isnt the control panel located in the back of the cluster ??? which basically dictates what to come on lights.... turn signals etc....

so couldnt i just buy a new cluster panel???

 

Late 95 up to 97 should be the same just try to buy the entire cluster.

k now i really think its a loose wire or the circuit board now... 100% now my cluster lighting works..... odd but hell thats gonna save me 300 plus bucks sooo.....im gonna take the wait and see approach.
