Default Volvo 850 Update. Haven't Posted in a While: Pic Heavy :)

Well, haven't been very active here recently, been frequenting Volvospeed more often, but there have been some changes to my 850 as well as some major things going on this winter.

Most current pics from our last MWC meet at IKEA in Chicago. Recent changes have included battery relocated to the trunk, eliminated the PTC from the PCV system and am completely venting to atmosphere, and re-worked my intake a bit.

Did a little bit of engine bay tucking as well. Something's missing? lol

And perhaps the largest changes are occurring in my 850's shoes. I have denounced Volvo wheels all together, I officially completely 100% dislike Volvo wheels and will never own a set ever again. lol. In the past few months I've started buying wheels, selling them, refinishing them etc. I will also be making rear coilovers for the rear of the car, so the car will be on coilovers on all four corners.

The Tethys that are on the car in the pictures have been sold, practically gave them away, didn't want them at all anymore. And in the past month I owned a set of Audi Fat Fives, Audi A8 Monoblocks, Mercedes OZ Carlsson 3/6s, BBS RS178, and am picking up another set of BBS RS215s. And the wheels:

BBS RS178. These are the wheels I'm refinishing for myself and will get put on the car in the spring. Be prepared, I will slammed, I will be stretching tire, and bet your *** I'll be poking...quite a bit. Completely stripping the lips and polishing them, centers are getting powder coated, center caps stripped and polished. New barrels made for the front. The wheels will be 17x9.5 et55 in the rear and 17x8.5 et48 in front.

I'll be sure to post more pictures as they get completed.

And my BBS RS 215s are coming tomorrow, those will be getting taken apart, stripped, polished, new hardware, and then will be for sale. If you're interested in them, let me know

Thanks

Hey Gil: Been wondering what you've been up to. A guy was trying to sell me a set of those BBS 217's for my daughters red S70. Just couldn't spring for them at the time. I may check back with him from time to time.

Looking forward to seeing pics with some of those wheels on the 850.

If you want some RS215s for her S70, mine are completed and going relatively cheap!

But yeah, been on VS/Stanceworks/VWVortex lately and the whole wheel thing and school has kept me busy.

Anyways, got my centers back from the powder coater for my RS178s and wrapped up the BBS RS215s which are currently for sale.

My RS178s which will be going on my car in the spring. They're far from done. Getting two new barrels made to stagger the set and will be getting new hardware and center caps.

What's up guys? Another small update. **** has been slow with the car and the wheels. Trying to get barrels made fro the BBS RS178s so the fronts will fit my car, I waiting around for 5 weeks for someone who said they could make me barrels only find out that they can't. But, this week I decided to go with a reputable company and ordered to 17x7 barrels from Rotiform.

So hopefully in a month or so I'll have my new barrels and the wheels can be put together. In the meantime, I'm still finishing the lips. This is the only one I have completely finished:

I also sold all of my suspension stuff:

Car sits like this now (it looks super raked because it has a transmission in the trunk):

And in the spring along with the wheels, these will be going on (but will be using springs from a B5 Audi coilover kit in the rear to get lower):
