RE: Volvo 850 volume on radio not working
Hi,
Seems like the POT (potentiometer, a type of variable resistor often used for audio volume control) is acting up. Try taking the radio out, pull out the volume **** and spray air duster first, then a tiny bit of electrical contact cleaner. Also, spray a tiny bit of the cleaner into the connector couplers, connect & disconnect several times. If you can dig into the POT further at your own risk, you could spray a tiny it of the cleaner directly into the POT. I repeated "tiny bit" many times, as all you need is, well, a tiny bit. Too much spray will cause more troubles than a fix.
A gentleman by the name of "Axelm" could give you better solutions than I could; Axel is the electrical/electronic wiz kind of guy.
I hope it helps.
