Volvo 850 Window Switch Pack Assembly Removal and Replacement - Video
If you need to replace your power window switch assembly in the Volvo 850, you will have to remove the center console. The job can be done in less than an hour.
Good stuff. I got the entire assembly, with relay, and wired it so I could have auto-down on the passenger window, too.
One thing with mine that was challenging - the tray under the ashtray had double-faced tape holding it to the dash under the ashtray. 2 small squares - but they stuck real well. I feared the dash was going to break, before it came out!

I made a small harness with 3 relay socket. In each relay I put an Auto Relay (850, S40,V40 (1st Gen), 960, S90 V90 will do). This way I have Auto Up for the driver and also Up and Down for passenger.
The harness goes between the connector from the switch assembly and the car harness.
I also put in each back door two of these relais
and of course added the missing LED and another "lid".

...and the rest of the pics.
If you want the wiring diagram I can post it it is very simple. The connectors can be bought from Volvo (although only black is still available), cost around 1,50$, pins are very cheap, the sockets for the relays costed me 3$ each. Relais were part from the scrap yard, part eBay. Rear pics are from a frieds V70 where I did the "mod".
Cheers
