Volvo S70 window door switch test and repair. - Video
My buddy had a few V70's with bad window door switch packs. Instead of paying $185 for new assemblies, I cracked one open and got it working again.
Hi Robert, love your videos, they are greatly informative. All praise aside, I have a issue with my 2000 Volvo s70's right rear window. The other day I rolled it down for a friend and found it wouldn't go past half way down. So I thought I'll just roll it back up and leave it be; well I go and roll it up with the drivers side master switch and it does nothing. So I've found that if I use any of the switches on the drivers side all the lights dim leading me to believe that there is power being transferred. With that right rear window using the master switch, upon pressing the button, there is no dimming of the lights. In addition using the switch on said right rear door will do nothing. My father, not much of a car person thought that this would be a relay issue due to both switches not working and/or working intermittently. What are your thoughts? I would appreciate any help you could give me and I found this video harder to understand due to a lot of stuff going on in the background of the video. Thanks! Also adding on, all the master switches work except the right rear and occasionally others which I think might be "going out"
