Volvo 855 10v intermittent stumble during acceleration & cruising
Hi people,
I recently purchased a Canadian '95 855 Wagon with 185k (hence the reason it is a 10 valve).
Ever since i've owned it, it has had a strange and intermittent (some days it runs beautifully, others not) stumble and hesitation while under light acceleration or when cruising on the freeway.
So far, a complete tune up (using Volvo parts) has been completed, but to no change
I have also noticed that when the car is at operating temp, and I put it in Neutral or Park, the idle gradually goes way up to about 1600 rpms. This does not happen when cold.
I also noticed that the car sometimes makes a vacuum noise when I first turn it on in the morning. It sounds comparable to those rubber chickens that go haawww when the air gets pushed out of them. The noise goes away when the car is warm.
Any ideas as to what I should check for?
Muchas Gracias!
