Volvo '93, not cranking.
I have a 93 volvo and that car was running fine, until yesterday. The car has power(new battery) and gas but will not start. Even in attempt to ignite it, I do not hear the starter.
If it is not cranking you may have a bad starter. Try to start it in neutral.
You could have a bad PNP switch. If it doesn't start in neutral, roll the shifter through all the gears about 20 times, put it in park and try again.

Alright im heading to the car now, but thats weird before it never gave me any problems. . But I will try your advice.. if that doesn't work what do you suggest I do, can I buy a new switch? Could it be a bad spark plug?
If it's not cranking you have an electrical/electronic issue or starter problem.
The fact that "it never gave you problems before" doesn't matter. You now have a 20 year old car and problems will start somewhere. Oh, by the way, this wont be the last "all the sudden" problem.

I ran the fault codes i got 214 and 433 ... Undet A6 for ignition
If it's not cranking over
1. Bad starter or starter solenoid that's mounted on the starter
2. Bad PNP switch that might be cleanable or replace
3. Bad ignition switch not sending a signal.
Try jump starting it first to see if the extra amps from the second vehicle helps.

How can i clean the PNP switch to see of thats it????.. Yesterday i tested the starter and it actually runs.. so it may be the pnp switch, solenoid, or the ignition switch. Where can i find the ignition switch?
I don't understad this question. Where is it on the car or what parts store carry them?

I did not mean to have two threads going on, I am on my cell phone and I didn't know if one posted. I apologize. So how do I know if the engine turns over.. because when I turn on the car I hear two clicks, and some humming noise. So I guess I gotta get a mechanic, because from the codes I pulled there are both relating to a sensor. 214 and 433
The ignition switch is right behind where you put the key to start the vehicle.

I meant where is the ignition switch. I heard something about the ignition cords and some sensor cords coiling up and not causing the car to turn.
