Wagon Rear Door Not Closing
#2
RE: Wagon Rear Door Not Closing
Some possibilities I can think of:
- The latch is at stuck-open position due to lack of lubrication/freezing.
- The cable/link from the door handle to the latch has stretched/broke.
- The latch & the striker are misaligned.
- The latch claw is broken.
- Etc...
Wait for others opinions for more accurate suggestions.

May be a spring(s) has dislodged/broke? If you did not receive replies from Tech or others who have dealt with this problem before, here are what I would do:
- Spray lubricant, such as WD40 into the latch opening.
- Remove the striker and try simulating door closure by pressing it into the latch.
- If these do not do anything, you may need to remove the trim panel and visually inspect for possible problems.
- Or, it could be something outrageously simple (child lock related, etc...) and you may not have to remove the trim panel.
This is all I can do at the moment.
