Default Wagon rear sway bar?

My '95 850 GLT Wagon... i'm pretty sure doesn't have the rear sway bar.

Found a '96 850 R Wagon... should have it right? Anyone know how to spot it? How to remove it? Any chance there's a tutorial online somewhere or at least some photos?

Thanks.

Found this...

http://volvospeed.com/Mods/sway_rear.html

It mentions the "IPD supplied bolts"... which makes me think this is for adding an aftermarket bar. But i'm assuming the sport models, such as the R, does have them stock (based on... http://www.swedishbricks.com/faq/850.html)... is it basically the same removal and installation?

Yes the R will have a rear sway bar.

Original swaybars were:
1993-1997 sedans 20mm front, 19.5mm rear
1993-1997 wagons 20mm front, no rear
T5R & R sedans were 20mm front, 20mm rear
T5R & R wagons were 20mm front, 20.8mm rear

Under the care you should be able to see the 2 long arms of the "delta link" style suspention going across the car. The sway bar will be connecting both of these together. I believe there are 3 bolts holding the rear sway bar in. 2 on the driver side and 1 on the passenger side.

It should be pretty self explainatory once you get under there and look up.

let us know.

Sounds great. Thanks for the info.

And then it's safe to assume that my car has the "receiving" mounts for the bar?

Will I need anything other than the bar and the bolts?

Should I worry about/grab the "delta link" parts at all?

Just check your car for the holes in it.

I’m sure Volvo put the holes to bolt it in on both cars... I mean... why make 2 parts when you can make one... A lot cheaper =)
