Default What is this bushing called?

I'm attaching a png file to this post, showing a bushing near the front of my 96 Volvo 850 GLT. There's one of these on both sides (left and right) of the front underside of the car. They look splintered and like they're missing material. Can someone identify what these are? Are they engine mount bushings? There are intermittent soft creaking noises from the front of the car, especially when going over bumps. It could be worn struts, the car only has 225k miles on it and is still rocking the original struts as far as I know. But back on topic, are these bushings easy to replace and what kind of bushings are they? I'm not willing to pull the engine to replace these, I'd rather put up with the creaking noise. (My daily driver is a 2006 Corvette, and I don't have a wife or kids, but for those occasional times when I need a back seat for moving cargo, this ancient Volvo serves me as a cheap 4-door sedan secondary driver.

Thanks y'all!
Mike

Subframe bushings. Get VOLVO only.

Is the replacement as simple as undoing that one bolt, sliding new part on, then redoing the bolt? Or will all kinds of stuff come out of alignment and/or fall on my head if I undo that bolt?

That bolt holds the weight of the engine and transmission up. But you can put a jack under the subframe and do just one bolt at a time. No problem with that. Getting that bushing out might take some work.
