It is very hard to do on the car due to lack of room between the compressor and the body of the car.

DO you have any idea what the gap should be between the clutch and the compressor? i have about a dimes width.
I see one sensor on the AC with only 1 wire leading to it. Is the the temp sensor that i could try to bypass?

Ok well took it the Volvo specialist yesterday and he confirmed it is the clutch. He was shorting the low pressure switch and the clutch would try to kick in but it wouldn't. He checked that he had enought voltage and it did so basically i'm stuck with a clutch that won't work when it's too hot out.
Should i go for a DIY clutch change or should i get a second hand compressor and get it fixed? They mentioned that they have to remove the motor mounts to bring down the motor to be able to change the clutch resulting in a 4 hours job. Sound weird to me to have to lower the motor to do that. It stil have found the temp switch that i could bypass. Is it directly on the compressor?

It can be done without removing any of that.
It takes about 1.5 to 2 hrs.

Remove the lines and then the mounting bolts and the dryer and it will slide out the front.
