Where is the transmission fluid dipstick in a '96 850 manual transmission sedan?

I also have an automatic '96 850 and the dipstick is easily accessible but it's not in the same spot in the manual tranny and I can't find it anywhere...Help?

Correct me if im wrong but, I dont believe the manuals have a dipstick....

Your fluid in the Manual trans is more of a gear oil than a dextron I thought.

 

There is no dipstick in a manual. You drain and refill with the recommended amount of fluid.

Is there no way to check the level? I remember the rear gearbox on my 740 had a plug you could pull and make sure the level was up to the hole.

 

Yes there is a second plug a bit up the side but I dont know if that would give you an accurate measure. Dont quote me on it because that just might be what its for, I just am not sure.

 

Ok so go in the bathroom and look in the mirror.... Oh!! Dipstick found!!! LOL!! I'm just kidding, manual has no stick. Pull upper fill plug if oil is coming out lightly it's full!
