Here's how I found my yellow one. I wanted yellow when my grey blew an engine, but could not find one and that's when I got the white one. Somebody on one of the message boards asked me to look into one he was thinking of bidding on on e-bay. I looked into it for him. Even went as far as calling the seller and talking to him. Told the guy not to buy it. I know you are thinking I bought it out from under him. No, I would not do that. There was something, I don't remember what, wrong with it.
When I was looking for it on e-bay I opened Autotrader and looked there and there wasn't any at all. So then I went to e-bay and looked into the one for this guy. When I was hitting the back key when finished, I refreshed the Autotrader page and one popped up. Said it had nine pictures, but there was none. Called my son and he said he found three pictures. In other words it was just posting. And it was only 200 miles away. Somebody had just traded it in on a new Accord at the Honda dealership.
I called them that night and they were closing. I kept calling when the opened the next day and finally got hold of the sales lady. She took a $100 deposit over the phone to hold it for 24 hours. I left at lunch time and took the rest of the day off. When I got there she asked what was so special about this car? I said why, she said I have three people to call back if you don't buy it. Could have been a sales pitch, but I know she would not budge on the price and I didn't give her a chance to call the other people back.
The ad said if you bring a printed copy of the ad, they would knock of $500. I asked if she would honor that. She said she would if I had it printed. Pulled it out of my brief case and handed it to her.
On the one t-boned on the drivers side, see what you can buy it for in that condition if it's not too bad. If it's just the doors and fender it's not hard to replace. I hate hearing a yellow T5R is being parted out.

Man, that car really took a hit. What's the deal with that license plate? May be some kind of game if you ask me. Looks like the entire front of the car is missing.
I actually have a connection with 2 or 3 people that will sell a Yellow R. I found them before I picked up mine about 4 weeks ago. If someone is serious about wanting one, let me know and I will PM the contact info for the folks that were selling. When I learned about the car about 4 months ago, I was finding 2 per month for sale, now I can not find any new listings.
I know of one other in my state and it is pretty rough. The owner knocked all 4 Titans from under it and now rolls with the 16" 960 wheels. I tried to have our DMV tell me how many were in Arkansas but they keep blowing me off.
If I had to guess, I would say there are around 135 left. I seen somewhere that 35 of the 185 shipped to the US were wagons. When I was communicating with people that were selling yellow R's, I heard about several that were totaled. A couple of the people had 2 yellow ones, one for parts. Keep in mind that I just learned that the cars were made in Feb of 2009.
As for the color, my wife still reminds me that she hates the color. But when you look around, there are a lot of yellow cars, mostly sports cars, especially Mustangs. Most sports cars come in Red, Yellow and Black.
