Does the windshield washer tank have an overflow. I tried filling the tank and most of what I poured wound up on the driveway. The washer functions and there is fluid in the tank. Aside from the fluid on the driveway there is no apparent leakage around the tank.

Must be leaking somewhere. Mine do not leak when I fill them.

I agree with JimKW,

There is no overflow tank for the washer fluid. It is just fill and forget.

If it is hitting the ground them there is a leak somewhere.

 

Is there a seperate washer bottle for the rear window on a wagon?

 

I only have the one tank under the hood on The Anvil.

It is located to the left of the diagnostic ports which are highlighted.

 

Thats what I thought, my Rover is the same way, but my Montero had a seperate one in the rear cargo door. Anyway, the rear washer on my wifes wagon doesnt work,

Did the squirter ever work?

If so you may have a clog in the line or gunk in the tip of your squirter( that just sounds nasty). Dont ask me how, I just know that it can happen.

There may also be something wrong with the line itself. Check under the hood to make sure that it hasnt become, somehow, disconnected.

 

I do not know when it worked last, we have had this car for about two weeks. And we have already put over 600 miles on it.

I hope that you got some records of repair with it. Or did you get it from a lot?

Can you post a photo of the new to you ride?

 

It might be possible that you have a crack on the resivoir in the seam. If you can , remove the bottle and inspect. Im not sure but, see if any of the in line check valves are leaking.
