Wiper Squirters Issue
I've got a '95 850GLT. The windshield wiper fluid stopped coming out - I replaced the reservoir and the pump on it (rear pump I think it is now) as I got the parts for cheap. I'm getting great pressure, but the fluid goes up the lines under the felt panel under the hood and hits this little check valve between the 2 front squirters (red disk on top of it - with a little hole in the middle of the red disk) - and then just squirts out of the valve. I've disconnected the valve and ran it through each squirter individually and they work fine (no clogs). Why does this valve has a release hole on it? I'll just replace the valve - but not sure if I can just get a y-adapter type for it.
The hole is there to tell you when the valve is bad.
Just get a Y Vaccum adapter and install it.
By doing that you will just have to wait a few more seconds for the fluid to come out.
The Valve holds the pressure so when you turn them on the fluid is there.
With the Y the fluid bleeds back to the bottle.

The hole could seriously be there to tell you when it's bad - this thing looks perfectly designed to look this way.... a clear pre-designed warning system on a $2 valve? That can't be right...?
Awesome! Thanks! I probably should have asked before I replaced the reservoir and the rear pump - but I figured both parts for $40 wasn't a bad buy. At least I know I won't ever have to worry about it again.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Hello,
I would also replace the in-line washer filter (located under the diagnostic terminal, behind the pax-side headlight area) and another T-valve for the headlight washers, both are cheap.
